The staff and family at Wilger wants to wish everyone a Happy Agriculture Day (Feb 12), and take the time to fully appreciate the agriculture industry and all the bountiful food and opportunities it presents to Canada and the world.
At Wilger, we strive to continue to make positive impacts in Canadian agriculture, from producing parts that make farming easier, safer, and especially for creating more value for farmers with their spraying or liquid fertilizer applications.
We are proud of Canadian agriculture, and even prouder that we can be involved at a key level for the continued growth and development of Canadian & Worldwide Ag!
As a part of Canadian Agriculture Day, try to learn something new (or old) about Canadian Agriculture. In Saskatchewan, Canada, international efforts are made to improve cropping, breeding, and overall solutions to improve agriculture worldwide.
Take a look at the CDC (NOT the center for disease control, but the Crop Development Centre) located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, as a research organization within the Department of Plant Sciences at the University of Saskatchewan.
CDC scientists integrate basic research with genetic improvement of spring wheat, durum, canaryseed, barley, oat, flax, field pea, lentil, chickpea, fababean and dry bean.
Learn a bit about the CDC and what it does today!
